Criteria for Eligibility
For UP scholarships, applicants must meet the following criteria:-

| 1. | UP Pre-Matric Scholarship (classes 9 & 10) | Scholarships are available to students from SC/ST/OBC/General/Minority categories. It is required that they are in grades 9 and 10 at a recognized school. Families should not earn more than INR 1 lakh per year. |
| 2. | UP Post-Matric Scholarship (class 11 & 12) | This scholarship is open to students from SC/ST/OBC/General/Minority categories. A recognised school or college must offer classes 11 and 12. An annual income of less than INR 2 lakh should be maintained by the family. |
| 3. | UP Post-Matric Scholarship (Other than class 11 & 12) | This scholarship is open to students who fall into the SC/ST/OBC/General/Minority categories. Graduate, postgraduate, Ph.D., or higher level students are eligible to apply. Families should not earn more than 2 lakhs per year. |
