Kerala State Higher Education Council: In order to achieve your dreams and avail good job opportunities, you should pursue higher education. For students enrolled in first-year degree programmes at a government university or a government-aided arts and science college in Kerala, the Kerala State Higher Education Council (KSHEC) will offer the Kerala State Higher Education Council Scholarship 2023. A total of 1,000 scholarships are being offered by the Kerala State Higher Education Council for the academic year 2022-2023. Applications will be accepted beginning February 17, 2023, and the application period will end on March 10, 2023. First-year undergraduates will receive 12,000 INR, second-year undergraduates will receive 18,000 INR, and third-year students will receive 24,000 INR. The application fee for a postgraduate programme is INR 40,000 for the first year and INR 60,000 for the second year.

Kerala State Higher Education Council Scholarship Objective

Providing more than 1000 scholarships to students enrolled in government or government-aided colleges in undergraduate and postgraduate programs is the aim of the Kerala State Higher Education Council Scholarships, which administered by the Council. Kerala State Higher Education Council Scholarship 2023 Benefits

  • Students will receive INR 12,000, INR 18,000, and INR 24,000 for the first, second, and third years of undergraduate studies.
  • Undergraduate scholarship recipients who continue on to graduate school will pay INR 40,000 for their first year of postgraduate study, and INR 60,000 for their second year.
  • Scholarship awards will be increased by 25% for students with physical impairments of at least 40%.
  • Scholarships will be renewed yearly based on the scholar’s academic performance.

Scholarship applicants must meet the following criteria in order to be eligible to apply:

The nationality of:- The candidate must be an Indian national.

Academic Qualification-

  • It is required that an applicant must be enrolled in a first-year Undergraduate Assisted Science, Humanities, Social Science, or Business course at a Government-Aided Arts & Science College in 2022–2023, or an IHRD Applied Science College of equal or greater academic rigor.
  • Professionals and self-financed students are not eligible.
  • The Plus 2/equivalent test must be passed by candidates.
  • The Plus 2/equivalent exam is required for all ST applicants. Business study applicants must have a 60% average, and humanities, social science, and science applicants must have a 55% average.
  • Physical challenges will be scored at 45% in all streams.
  • In business studies, BPL/OBC must obtain 65% marks. In humanities & social sciences, they need to earn 55% marks.

Criteria for other considerations:

  • Fee reduction recipients are not eligible for this award.
  • SC/ST lump sum grants and Hindi scholarships awarded by the Directorate of Collegiate Education are not included in this section.

  • The first step is to visit the official website of the Kerala State Higher Education Council.
  • On your screen, you will see the scholarship’s homepage.
  • The “New Registration” link can be found in the middle right corner of the scholarship application page, under the “Apply for Scholarship” section.
  • After being redirect to the new page, candidates must accept the terms and conditions and click the “Apply” link.
  • Applicants must now upload the necessary documents and provide the necessary information to complete the registration process, including the following: Name of Board, Roll
  • Number of Exam, Year of Passing, Name of Applicant, DOB, Name of Father/Mother, Sex,
  • Occupation of Parents, Mobile No. Email ID, Aadhar Number, etc.

Criteria for Selection

You must fulfil the selection criteria based on your marks weightage if you want to be consider for the scholarship:

  • The General category will account for 50% of all scholarships.
  • Scholarships allocates as follows:
    10% for SC/ST,
    10% for BPL,
    27% for OBC.
    3% for physically challenged students.
  • Scholarships will be divide among the various streams based on the number of seats available in each university.
