Hindi Scholarship 2023 Eligibility Criteria

  • Candidates residing in Hindi-speaking states for any purpose will not be eligible for the scholarship.
  • Correspondence course students and those preparing for private examinations are not eligible.
  • Students pursuing two courses simultaneously will not be eligible, unless Hindi is one of the subjects in both courses.

  • Candidates affiliated with Voluntary Hindi Organizations must apply through the parent body.
  • Applicants must secure a minimum of 60% marks in the qualifying examination.
  • Employed candidates, whether full-time or part-time, in private or government organizations, will be eligible only if sponsored by the concerned state government/union territory administration and upon execution of a bond if required by them.
  • This scholarship can be combined with other scholarships as an incentive to study Hindi.
  • Students who are already receiving a Hindi Scholarship for a particular course of study (e.g., H.S./Degree/Post Degree stages) do not need to reapply. Their cases will be renewed until the completion of the said course, upon submission of the A.P.R. Forms completed by the respective Head of the Institution. However, for the next higher course of study, they must apply afresh alongside new candidates.
