Vivekananda Scholarship 2023: (svmcm.wbhed.gov.in) Dates, Application form and Process

Swami Vivekananda Merit Cum Means Scholarship (SVMCM) was introduced by the West Bengal government to assist meritorious students from economically weaker sections of society. SVMCM scholarship 2022 provides scholarships at different levels of higher education to students.

Students will find information about how to apply for SVMCM in 2022, how to register for SVMCM in 2022, and when the deadline for SVMCM (Vivekananda Scholarship 2023) form is.

Vivekananda scholarship (svmcm.wbhed.gov.in) can be obtained by students studying in regular mode of class 11 and 12, UG students, and PG students providing they can produce the necessary documents and their family income is below 2,50,000 per year. How to apply for Vivekananda Scholarship 2023

Vivekananda Scholarship 2022 applications can be submitted online at svmcm.wbhed.gov.in. Below is information about the whole SVMCM application process 2022 and the SVMCM schedule for online applications.

SVMCM 2023 Application Procedure

If you are interested in applying for the SVMCM Scholarship 2022, please follow the steps listed below.

  • A registration form for SVMCM 2022 can be found on the official website of the SVMCMsvmcm.wbhed.gov.in.

  • After submitting the SVMCM registration form 2022, an Applicant ID will be generated. Fill out the entire SVMCM application form 2022 using it. Please upload scanned copies of your photograph and signature as well.

  • Upon submitting the SVMCM application form 2022, you will see a page entitled ‘Scanned Supporting Document Upload’. It will be necessary for students to upload the documents.

  • 4 – Once the documents have been uploaded, check the entire application form in view mode and click ‘Submit Application’ to complete your SVMCM 2022 application.

Note: After submitting your application form, you cannot edit it. Applicants can approach concerned HOI/DI to get their application form unlocked if any modifications need to be made after SVMCM 2022 has been submitted. Afterwards, the application form for SVMCM Scholarship 2022 can be modified and submitted again.

SVMCM Documents Required

Documents to be uploaded by Fresh and Kanyashree Applicants:

  • The mark sheet of the Madhyamik Examination or its equivalent (both sides).

  • Mark sheet of last Board/Council/University/College examination (Both sides)

  • Admission receipt.

  • Income certificate of family (Not Applicable for Kanyashree).

  • Domicile certificate as Aadhaar ID/Voter ID/Ration card/Certificate issued by the concerned authority.

  • Scanned copy of Bank Passbook (1st Page, containing A/C No. and IFSC).

Documents for Application Renewal

  • A copy of the marksheet of the last examination taken in the current course of study. (Both sides, and if the semester examination system is used, both semester marksheets).

  • Receipt of admission for promotion to the next higher class.

SVMCM Eligibility Criteria 2023

In order to check if a student is eligible to apply for the Swami Vivekananda Scholarship scheme 2022, they must refer to the following SVMCM eligibility criteria:

  • In order to enroll in any of the following courses, students must be studying on a regular basis:

  1. Class 11 and Class 12

  2. UG Level (Science, Arts, Commerce, Engineering, Medical and Technical/Professional courses)

  3. PG Level ( Science/Arts/Commerce & Technical/Management)

  • Students must have passed in the year 2021 or 2020 with:

  1. A minimum of 60% aggregate marks in the last qualifying examination (75% for previous year passout candidates) from the West Bengal Board of Secondary Education/West Bengal Council of Higher Secondary Education/Madrasa Education for a higher secondary or an undergraduate scholarship.

  2. For Under Graduate level Scholarships (in 2nd year Engineering, Technology, and Pharmacy courses via Lateral Entry) from Institutes approved by AICTE and affiliated to WBSCT&VE&SD, students must have 60% aggregate marks in diploma courses. For Under Graduate level Scholarships (in 2nd year Pharmacy course through Lateral Entry), students must be affiliated with State Medical Faculty.).

  3. For Post Graduate Level Scholarships (General Education): 53% aggregate in Graduation (Honours Subject) from any State University or AICTE approved Institute of West Bengal; 5% aggregate in Graduate Courses (Engineering, Technology, Pharmacy) from any State University or AICTE approved Institute).

  • A student pursuing an M.Phil or doctoral degree from a state-aided institution (not a NET Junior Research Fellow or a NET Lecturer).

  • Kanyashree(K3) scholarships are available to girls pursuing PG degrees at state universities after obtaining a UG degree with 45% aggregate marks.

  • In order to qualify for the SVMCM scheme 2022, candidates must have a family income of Rs. 2,50,000/- or less.
