Kanyashree Scholarship Beneficiaries

This scheme extends its support to the following individuals:

1. Approximately 3.5 lakh girls receive a one-time grant each year in West Bengal.
2. Girls who turn 18 on or after 1st April 2020 are eligible for the one-time grant.
3. Beneficiaries must actively attend educational institutions or engage in vocational/sports training.
4. Approximately 18 lakh female students qualify for an annual scholarship each year.
5. Girl children between the ages of 13 to 19, hailing from families with an annual income of up to Rs 1,20,000, can apply.
6. Girls within the age group of 18-19 from Child Care Institutes registered under the J.J. Act.

Kanyashree Applications types

There are several types of Kanyashree applications:

1. Fresh K1: This annual scholarship application is printed on light green paper.
2. Fresh K2: One-time grant application forms, printed on light blue paper, fall under the K2 category.
3. Renewal: Girls who have received at least a one-time grant and are still below 18 need not reapply.
4. Up-Gradation: Girls who have received at least a one-time grant and are above 28 must submit a K2 application form for renewal.

Kanyashree Scholarship K2 2023 Application process

Here’s a step-by-step guide to the application procedure:

1. Visit the Kanyashree website.
2. Click on the Registration button.
3. Tick the checkbox confirming your agreement to abide by the instructions.
4. Click on Proceed.
5. A popup will appear for minority students applying for fresh scholarships or renewal.
6. Click on the Close button.
7. Enter all the necessary details.
8. Your username and password will be generated.
9. Click on the Login tab.
10. Enter the applicant ID and password.
11. Click on the Submit button.
12. Your account dashboard will be displayed on your screen.
13. Click on the Edit Profile/Application tab.
14. Fill out the application form with basic details, qualifying exams, present course, and institution address.
15. Upload your scanned photograph and signature.
16. Click on Save & Continue.
17. Submit your bank details, including Name of Bank, IFSC Code, Branch Code, Account Number, and MICR Code.
18. Click on the Submit Application tab after uploading the required documents.
