Himachal Pradesh Scholarship 2023: The newly launched Himachal Pradesh Centrally Sponsored Pre-Matric Scholarship Scheme for OBC Students is available to permanent residents of the state. Scholarships are only available to students from the OBC category.

Himachal Pradesh Scholarship for OBC Students
If one wishes to apply for the Himachal Pradesh Centrally Sponsored Pre Matric Scholarship Scheme for OBC Students, the applicant must be a permanent resident of the state and follow perfect eligibility criteria.
The scheme is offered by the Himachal Pradesh government to people of the OBC category who are permanent residents of the state. In order to continue their education in the Himachal Pradesh state, the applicant will receive monthly benefits in relation to the educational incentive program.

Pre Matric Scholarship Benifits
Students selected for the program will receive the following benefits:

Scholarship for hostellers from Class 3 to Class 10: INR 500 per month (for a period of 10 months)

The monthly scholarship for day scholars from Class 1 to 10 is INR 100 (for a period of 10 months).

A grant of INR 500 per year is available as an ad-hoc grant

Himachal Pradesh Scholarship Eligibility Criteria
To apply for the scholarship scheme, the applicant must meet the following eligibility criteria:-

Students in the first to tenth grade are eligible to apply

A member of the OBC community must apply

Himachal Pradesh permanent residents/domiciles must apply.

An applicant’s family income must not exceed INR 2.5 lakh per annum from all sources

Your screen will display the instructions.

Details such as the State of Domicile, the Name of the student, the Date of Birth, the Community/Category, the Father’s Name, the Aadhaar card number, the Mobile number, the Scholarship Category, the Gender, Religion, the Mother’s Name, the Annual Family Income, and the Email address should be entered.

Himachal Pradesh scholarship Application Status
Following is a simple procedure for checking the status of an application:-

Candidates must first visit the official website of the national scholarship portal by clicking the link below

You will see the home page on your screen.

The Login option can be found by clicking on it.

On your screen, a new page will appear.

The drop-down menu allows you to select your year.
-
On your screen, a new page will appear.

Password and application ID must be entered.
-
Select the Submit option.

Your screen will display the application status.
Terms and Conditions
To apply for the scholarship, the applicant must follow the following conditions: successfully-
-
No other centrally-funded pre-matric scholarship should be held by the applicant.
-
Scholarships will be awarded for an academic year (i.e. 10 months).
-
While studying, students are not allowed to work or assist their parents in their work.
-
A student must maintain a regular attendance record of at least 60% per year.
-
To avoid duplication, the applicant’s bank account must be seeded with their Aadhaar number.
-
There are 30% of seats reserved for girl candidates and 5% for students with disabilities.
-
It is also possible for students to pursue their studies through correspondence courses. Correspondence includes distance education and continuing education.

In the event that the student is domiciled in one state or UT, but holds an OBC certificate issued by another state or UT, they are eligible to apply for the scholarship in the state/UT from which the OBC certificate originated.
