Successful candidates will receive a monthly stipend of Rs. 8,000. Those undertaking internships outside of Kerala will receive Rs. 10,000 per month. Benefits of Aspire Scholarship

This scholarship offers the following benefits to eligible candidates:

  • Monthly scholarship amounts to Rs. 8,000 for in-state candidates and Rs. 10,000 for internships conducted outside the state.
  • The distribution of scholarships follows a ratio of 2:3:5 for P.G., M.Phil, and Ph.D. courses, respectively.

Aspire Scholarship Eligibility Criteria

To be eligible for the Aspire Scholarship, candidates must meet the following criteria:

  • Only P.G./M.Phil/Ph.D. students from Kerala University Departments and Affiliated Colleges are eligible to apply.
  • The internship or project must be conducted with the support and supervision of the scholar/guide in the host institution. Candidates are required to submit a sanction letter, Facility Certificate from the host institution, and a No Objection Certificate from their parent Department/College, along with three copies of the project proposal.
  • The research plan/abstract submitted should not reveal the identity of the candidate.
  • Only the best proposals will be submitted to the University after preliminary screening by the Department Council and a recommendation from the Head of the Department/Principal. The proposal should specify the expected duration for project completion. Experts in the relevant area will evaluate the proposals, leading to the final selection by a University-level Committee.
  • The parent institution must ensure that the student maintains the required attendance for the particular course. The work done at the host institute may count as part of the coursework.
  • The scholarship is awarded to a candidate only once during a specific course tenure.
  • Inter-departmental projects and projects undertaken in affiliated colleges as host institutes are discouraged, and proposals involving IDE and private institutions as host institutes will be rejected. Deemed Universities can be chosen as host institutes.

Aspire Scholarship Documents Required

Applicants are required to submit the following documents:

  • A synopsis (not exceeding 2 pages) of the proposed work.
  • Registration printout with a passport-size photo.
  • Self-attested copies of the qualifying examination’s mark sheet.
  • Self-attested copies of the first page of the SSLC certificate and mark sheet.
  • A consent letter from the guide of the institution where the internship/project work will be conducted.
  • The first page of the bank passbook showing the applicant’s name, account number, and other relevant details.

Aspire Scholarship Selection Criteria

The selection process involves the following steps:

  • The institution’s principal will verify and approve the applications.
  • An expert panel will assess the applications, and a list of selected students will be published on the scholarship’s official website within two weeks of application submission.
  • Selected candidates and their respective institutions will be notified via email and SMS.
  • Scholarships will be disbursed to the beneficiaries’ bank accounts once they have reported joining the host institution after being relieved by their parent institution.
