Different types of scholarships are offered by the Telangana government for the following courses:-

• Group-I

  • A wide range of professional courses is available including undergraduate and postgraduate courses in Medicine, Engineering, Technology, Management, Agriculture, Veterinary and Allied Sciences, Business Finance, Business Administration, and Computer Applications/Science.

• Group-II

  • Professional and technical graduate and postgraduate courses (M.Phil, PhD, postdoctoral research) not included in Group-I. Courses at the graduate and postgraduate levels.

Under the Telangana Post Matric Scholarship, all students will be eligible for the following awards:

Telangana Post Matric Scholarship Charges

Students are awarded maintenance charges in order to cover their educational expenses in addition to their tuition fees, including:-

In order to be eligible for the Telangana Post Matric Scholarship scheme, applicants must meet the following criteria:-

• The candidate must be a Telangana citizen.

• From all sources of income, the family’s income must not exceed Rs. 2 lacks per year.

• In order to qualify for a Post Matriculation level education course, the candidate must have been admitted into a recognized institution.

• For EBC, Minority, and Disabled candidates, the candidate’s age must not exceed 20 years while for SC, ST, and BC candidates, it must not exceed 24 years.

• The maximum age limit for studying Graduation level courses is 25 for EBC/Minority/Disabled candidates and 29 for SC/ST/BC candidates.

• A candidate for a Post Graduate or Research course must not be older than 30 years if they are from an EBC, Minority, or Disabled background, or 34 years if they are from an SC, ST, or BC background.

Telangana Post Matric Scholarship Documents

To apply for the scholarship, you will need the following documents:-

• Admit card for Secondary School Certificate examinations, with roll number, graduation year, and candidate type.

• The Aadhaar Card Number of the Student or the EID or Aadhaar Card Registration Number.

• The caste certificate

• A passport-size photograph that is up to date

• A family’s income certificate

• Details of the bank account, such as the name of the student, the account number, and the IFSC code of the branch. Those from economically backward classes without bank accounts are not required to submit details.

• Passport Registration and Mobile Passport Applications must be submitted by students.

• A Bonafide Certificate or Certificate of Study for the last seven consecutive years of education

• An order for the Common Entrance Test in case of CET courses

• The Principal of the College must help an Intermediate student complete the Online Admission procedures to the Board of Intermediate Education Portal in order to register on the ePASS portal.

Reasons For Rejection 

The scholarship can be rejected for the following reasons:-

• Incorrect caste information

• Incorrect income information

• Candidate not being a Bonafide student

• Incorrect course and year of study information

• If the candidate fails to submit a caste and income certificate

• If the student is absent

• And If the student is admitted under the management quota

• Recommendation not given by field officer

• Non-receiving of the renewal proposal

• Previous sanction verification for renewal

• Detained students

• Claiming a scholarship for the same level of course
