SRM Scholarship 2023: SRM Institute of Science and Technology, formerly known as SRM University, extends a range of scholarships, fee waiver programs, and teaching and research assistance opportunities to deserving and talented students. These initiatives provide substantial benefits to a significant number of students.

In the period from 2017 to 2021, approximately 2650 students were awarded a total of Rs 28.9 crore in scholarships. Eligibility for an SRM Scholarship is contingent upon successful completion of the 12th grade. The Year Scholarship Scheme aims to empower promising students pursuing higher education, and those excelling in sports and performance are also eligible. Exceptional academic achievers should receive comprehensive support for their studies. Scholarship funds are provided in the form of tuition fee waivers.
SRM Founder’s Scholarships 2023
This prestigious scholarship offers a complete fee waiver covering tuition, hostel, mess charges, along with a monthly stipend of Rs 1,000.
It is available for:
- Top performers in the B.Tech Entrance Examination (SRMEE).
- Top state rankers in school finals.
- High scorers in SRMEE, JEE, and AIEEE.
- Outstanding sports persons at the national and international levels.
This scholarship is sustained throughout the program, subject to maintaining set performance criteria.
SRM University Scholarship Schemes Merit Scholarship
Students who have achieved a grade point average of 95% or more in CBSE or state board examinations and are also ranked among the top 10,000 in SRMEE can apply for this scholarship. It provides up to 50% tuition fee remission for the branch they qualify for during counseling. The number and value of scholarships may vary over time.
Merit-Cum-Means Scholarship (Socio-economic disadvantaged)
SRM Scholarship 2023-24 offers 25% to 100% tuition fee waivers to economically challenged students based on their performance in the qualifying examination.
Scholarship for Minority Community
SRM Scholarship grants 25% to 100% tuition fee waivers to students from minority communities based on their performance in the qualifying examination.
Important Details of SRM Scholarship
- Online applications for the scholarship are open annually.
- Scholarship Committee decisions will be communicated to selected candidates.
- The scholarship does not apply to MBBS, BDS, PG Medicine, and Allied Health Sciences programs.
- A committee will process applications and select prize winners.
Eligibility Criteria of SRM Scholarship
- The applicant must be an Indian citizen.
- Students must be enrolled in undergraduate Engineering and Applied Sciences (SEAS) or the School of Liberal Arts and Basic Sciences (SLABS) at SRM University.
- Candidates must have completed their higher secondary education.
- Family income should not exceed four lakhs.
- SLABS applicants should have an average of 60% marks in class 12th and meet the course requirements.
- SEAS applicants must have scored a minimum aggregate of 60% marks in PCM.
