A list of scholarships for high school and higher education courses that Indian students can apply for is published every month on Chhatravritti.Bharat. Each month, we publish a list of scholarships whose deadlines are upcoming.

Scholarships In January 2023

It is a philanthropic endeavor to award scholarships to meritorious students, especially those who cannot afford their studies without assistance. The following scholarships in India have their application deadline in January 2022.

Gates-Cambridge Scholarship

A Gates Cambridge scholarship is available to students living outside the UK who wish to pursue a full-time postgraduate degree at the University of Cambridge. In the US round, about 25 scholarships will be available, and in the international round, 55 awards will be available. Ph.D. students will be eligible for roughly two-thirds of the scholarships.

Candidates who wish to be considered for a Gates Cambridge Scholarship must be citizens of a country other than the United Kingdom and seeking admission to one of the following full-time residential programmes at Cambridge University:

KTH Scholarship

There are two scholarships offered each year by the KTH India Scholarship Foundation. KTH India Scholarships are awarded for the first year, but will cover tuition for the second year if the student scores well in the first year. During the school year (10 months), a monthly living allowance is also provided as part of the scholarship.

The scholarship is open to fee-paying students who have applied for a master’s degree at KTH as their top preference. Additionally, one must have completed their undergraduate degree in India and be an Indian citizen. Scholarships are awarded based on academic excellence.

Swami Dayanand Education Foundation (SDEF) Scholarship

Indian students enrolled in professional programmes are offered merit-plus-means scholarships by the Swami Dayanand Education Foundation. Scholarships are being offered to deserving students admitted to prestigious colleges in India on the basis of merit. A majority of the scholarships go to female candidates, with 30% going to female candidates. Public or private Indian institutions may award scholarships to engineering, medicine, pharmacy, information technology, and architecture students. Applicants must have a minimum CGPA of 6.5 or 65% marks in class 12th to be considered. In addition, the candidate’s annual family income from all sources cannot exceed 6 lakhs.

Cummins Scholarship Programme

In order to help students from economically and socially challenged families pursue professional degrees and diploma courses (in Engineering), Cummins India Foundation (CIF) has established the Cummins Scholarship Program. CIF has awarded scholarships to 1739 students so far. Additionally, CIF provides online soft skills training to students to help them develop their soft skills.

In order to qualify for these scholarships, candidates must be pursuing a professional degree or diploma in engineering at a college or university accredited by the UGC, the Central Government, or a state government, or they must have achieved at least 60% in their senior or higher secondary exams and have been accepted for further study. It is recommended that candidates be no older than 25 years old. They cannot earn more than 3 lakhs per year from all sources combined.

Tata Trust Means Grant For School & College Students

School students (Class VIII and higher) and college students (up until graduation, except for the engineering stream) receive substantial financial aid for their tuition. The current academic year, or AY 2022-2023, is the deadline for students to submit their applications. Applications are open to candidates in Mumbai or its suburbs who are enrolled in colleges or universities. It is possible for a family to apply for this grant more than once.
