Applicants have received text messages instructing them to verify their National Scholarship Portal (NSP) applications. All students must complete their NSP biometric authentication process before the deadline of August 20, 2023. Biometric authentication will be conducted at designated institute camps organized by Common Service Centers (CSC) in the presence of HoI/INO (Heads of Institutes/Institute Nodal Officers). The Indian government has authorized Common Service Centers to conduct biometric authentication. Failure to complete biometric authentication will result in application rejection.

How to Update NSP Scholarship Biometric Authentication?
To update NSP Scholarship Biometric Authentication, follow these steps:
- Common Service Centre (CSC) VLE (Village Level Entrepreneur) will organize camps in the institute for biometric authentication of pre-validated applicants. Students will receive text messages with instructions.
- Visit the designated institute with all the required documents mentioned above to complete the biometric authentication process.
- Officers will verify the information provided by applicants during biometric authentication.
- If the information matches with an entry in the NSP database, the details will be shown to the applicants for confirmation. CSC VLE will then capture a live photograph of the applicants.
- CSC VLE will perform biometric authentication for applicants after successful validation.
- Once biometric authentication is successful, data will be stored in the CSC database, and the NSP portal will be updated with the biometric authentication status, along with other transaction details.
