NRTS Scholarship Exam 2023: check status, amount, fees, Eligibility and apply online

An initiative is taken into consideration by the Government of Odisha State. Through this initiative, the Government of Odisha will select candidates and the selected candidates will be liable to get a scholarship of Rupees 250 each month till they successfully complete their secondary education. If you are studying in any school in Odisha state then you can enroll yourself in this scholarship scheme. The candidates will be selected through a National Rural Talent Search Examination. Given below are the details regarding the scholarship scheme so that you can apply for it without any problem. NRTS Scholarship Exam 2023

This examination is presented by the Government of Odisha as part of its National Rural Talent Search initiative. This scholarship program will provide students with Rs. 250 per month for a 36-month period. This scholarship examination is presented by the Odisha government to around 5 students from each school. Beneficiaries will receive the scholarship amount electronically every month in their bank accounts. In order to take the examination, you will have to pay 60 rupees.

NRTS Scholarship Eligibility

To qualify for the scholarship, applicants must meet the following criteria:-

  • In order to be eligible for this examination, candidates must have studied continuously and regularly in one or more recognized schools of the types listed in Regulation 2 supra, and have been recommended by the District Inspector of Schools on the basis of their performance on the Middle School Common Exam during the previous two school years.

  • All candidates except those belonging to the scheduled caste or scheduled tribe must not be older than 15 years of age on the date of the examination. Scheduled caste and scheduled tribe candidates cannot exceed 16 years of age on the date of examination.

  • This examination is not open to candidates who have previously failed the examination or who were detained in Grade 5 or 6 (Class VI or VII).

  • This examination is also not open to candidates from unrecognized schools who took the U.P Common Examination through nearby recognized schools.

  • Candidates will be examined in two papers lasting one hour thirty minutes each.

  • This paper contains the following information:

    • Paper-I( M.I.L., History, Civics and Geography),

    • Paper II (Mathematics and General Science).

  • OMR question papers will be objective and the candidates will mark their own answers.

  • District and Sub-Divisional headquarters shall be the only centres for this examination, and candidates from a specific area must appear there.

  • Marks of both papers will be tabulated by the Board and sent to the Circle Level Committee, which will select scholars for the award of the M.E. Merit/ Merit–Poverty Scholarship and scholars for the award of the N.R.T.S Scholarship.

Odisha NRTS Scholarship benefits

This scholarship offers the following benefits to candidates:-

  • Until he/she continues his/her studies at the secondary level with satisfactory results, selected students will receive a monthly allowance of Rs.250/.

  • An examination can be taken by a maximum of 5 (five) students from a school

NRTS Exam Money Disbursement

Among the candidates, the award money will be distributed as follows:-

  • Students will receive their scholarship money via electronic transfer to their bank accounts.

  • After the results are announced and the award memo is issued, awardees are instructed to open a joint bank account (student and one of the parents) and provide the account details to the DEO/BEO, who will transfer the award funds to the student’s account.

  • There is no other method of payment accepted.

NRTS Scholarship Exam Fees

The following examination fees must be paid by the applicant:

  • There is a fee of Rs.60/- (Rupees Sixty) per candidate for the NRTS Examination, 2016.

  • In order for the online registration process to be successful, Headmasters of Upper Primary and UGME Schools must collect the detailed information of the students as per the template (available on the website) together with the total fee and deposit with the Block Education Officer.

  • When registering online, a PAY-IN SLIP will be automatically generated to deposit the fee.

Other Details and Instructions

  • Students must be registered by their respective school heads.

  • When registering, the school code will serve as the User ID and Password.

  • For every eligible student, there is a Rs. 60 application fee for the NTRS 2023.

  • Registration for the NTRS 2022 closes on July 30, 2022.

  • For two years, the scholarship amount will be Rs. 250 per month.
