Objectives of JNU Scholarship
The primary objective of the JNU Scholarship is to provide social security and financial assistance to students who wish to pursue higher studies at JNU but face financial constraints. Reduction in Corruption Issues
To reduce corruption and malpractices, the government has implemented Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT) for the disbursement of scholarship amounts. Scholarships will only be provided to students who have linked their bank account numbers with their Aadhaar numbers. This helps ensure transparency and prevents fraudulent activities.
Annual Income Limit
In addition to the course of study, students must also meet the annual income limit set by the selection body. The eligible beneficiary’s family income must be equal to or below Rs. 2,50,000/- per year.
