College and university candidates can take advantage of the Central Sector Reward Scheme. All Indian candidates can apply for the scholarship since it is a Central Scholarship. Online applications are available through the National Scholarship Portal.

Scholarship Allocation

The reward is divided among the state education boards based on the state population between 18 and 25 years of age, and the share given to CBSE and CISC is based on the number of candidates who pass the board. 50 of those persons are reserved for girls.

A Central Sector Reward Scheme that is allocated to the state Education Board is based on the number of candidates passing Science, Commerce, and Humanities streams in the ratio of 3:2:1. However, if there is a shortage of applications, the reward will be exchanged.

Students Reservation

Central Sector Reward Scheme: Benefits and Features

The Department of Higher Education, Ministry of Human Resource Development, has announced the Central Sector Scholarship Scheme.
The scheme provides financial assistance to meritorious Indian candidates who are financially weak.
As a result of this financial assistance, students will be able to meet their day-to-day expenses while pursuing higher education.
Introducing the Central Sector Scheme of Reward is aimed at providing financial assistance to those students who excel in their studies
On the basis of merit, the scholarship will be awarded to the student
The number of rewards awarded for pursuing graduation, postgraduate, and professional courses such as medicine and engineering totals around 82000 per year
The 82000 students are divided equally between boys and girls: 41000 for boys and 41000 for girls.
The reward is split 50-50 between girls and boys
As a result of this Award, the country’s illiteracy rate will be reduced.

Eligibility Criteria : Central Sector Scholarship

  • Aspirants in class 12th are eligible to apply under this scheme in 80% of cases
    Candidates must be pursuing a regular course of study in medicine or engineering from an institute or college recognized by AICTE, the dental council of India, or the medical council of India
  • In total, the family income of the students should not exceed eight lakhs per year.
  • Distance learners who are pursuing degree courses by correspondence are not eligible to apply.
