The Sensodyne IDA Shining Star Scholarship Programme, a Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiative launched by Haleon India in collaboration with Buddy4Study (B4S) and the Indian Dental Association (IDA), aims to provide financial assistance to deserving, economically disadvantaged students across India who are pursuing 4-year Bachelor of Dental Surgery (BDS) courses in government or government-aided colleges.

Sensodyne IDA Shining Star Scholarship 2023
Under this initiative, 57 exceptional first-year BDS students from government or government-funded colleges will be selected to receive scholarships. Following an assessment conducted by IDA and B4S, selected students who meet the eligibility criteria will be granted financial support of INR 4,20,000 (INR 1,05,000 per year) for 4 years, assisting them with academic and living expenses.

Sensodyne IDA Shining Star Scholarship Eligibility Criteria
This scholarship is open to students entering their first year of the Bachelor of Dental Surgery (BDS) program in government or government-funded colleges. Applicants should have achieved a minimum of 60% in their Higher Secondary Education, and their family’s annual income should not exceed INR 8,00,000 from all sources. Students from across India are eligible to apply.
Note: Recipients of the Sensodyne IDA Shining Star Scholarship must maintain a minimum score of 60% in each semester/year to continue benefiting from the scholarship renewal. Children or family members of employees from Haleon, IDA, Give India, and Buddy4Study are ineligible to apply for this scholarship.
Sensodyne IDA Shining Star Scholarship Benefits
Each selected Sensodyne IDA Shining Star Scholar will receive INR 1,05,000 per year, totaling INR 4,20,000 over the 4-year BDS course, provided they maintain a minimum 60% score in each semester/year. The scholarship is designed to support academic expenses such as tuition fees, hostel fees, food, internet, mobile, laptop, books, stationery, and online learning.

Please Note: Starting from the second year, scholars must submit an academic grade report from the previous exam and a character certificate from their college to receive the scholarship for subsequent years.
