The scholarship program includes 11 major scholarships, providing eligible students with financial support under various subsidiary scholarship initiatives.

Objectives of Delhi Scholarship 2023

The primary objectives of launching the Delhi Scholarship Scheme are as follows:

  1. Financial Assistance: Provide scholarships to students from SC, ST, OBC, and Minority communities to support their studies and alleviate financial burdens.
  2. Empowerment: Enable economically weaker students to become self-reliant and independent through educational opportunities.

Management Body

Relevant Delhi State Universities/colleges will manage and administer the distribution of scholarship amounts to eligible students. Merit lists based on previous academic performance will be prepared by each state university/college.

Delhi Scholarship 2023 Amount

The Delhi Government aims to provide financial support to students from financially backward classes who face challenges in paying admission fees.

Class 6th to 12th = Compulsory and Tuition Fees

Financial Assistance To SC/ST/OBC/Minority Financial help and support will be offered to the students belonging to the SC/ST/OBC/Minority Classes from 1st to 12th Classes 1st to 8th = Rs. 100/- Per Month

Class 9th to 12th = Rs. 200/- Per Month

Merit Scholarship To SC/ST/OBC/Minority Meritorious students  will be given the scholarship amounts on the basis of academic excellence Classes from 1st to 12th Class 1st to 8th = Rs. 1000/- Per Annum

Class 9th to 10th = Rs. 1620/- Per Annum (40% marks)  Rs. 2040/- Per Annum (60% Marks)

Scholarship Merit For SC/ST/OBC/Minority Students of SC/ST/OBC/Minority will be given the scholarship amounts on the basis of merit records Meritorious students Rs. 1860/- Per Month
Financial Assistance To Educationally Backward Minority Students Students of Minority communities will be given the scholarship amounts Students Rs. 600/- Per Annum
Delhi Ladli Scheme Girls will be given the scholarship amounts for pursuing studies Class 11th to 12th Rs. 11,000/-  Per Annum

Annual Income Limit

Applicants must fall within the specified annual family income limit, which ranges from Rs. 1,00,000/- to Rs. 2,50,000/-, depending on the beneficiary category.

Fund Allocation to Colleges

The government will allocate funds to relevant universities/colleges/institutions earmarked for scholarship disbursement. The distribution will be based on academic merit, and funds will be transferred accordingly.

Delhi Scholarship 2023 Eligibility Criteria

To apply for this scholarship, the applicant must meet the following criteria mentioned below:

Pre Matric Scholarship For SC Students This scholarship will only be given to the students of SC categories for pursuing classes 9th to 10th classes holding an annual income of Rs. 2.50 lakhs.
Post Matric Scholarship For OBC Students This scholarship will only be given to the students of OBC categories for pursuing classes 11th to PhD Degrees holding annual income of Rs. 2.50 lakhs.
Post Matric Scholarship For SC Students The student must belong to the SC caste and must be pursuing or undertaking post matric class having annual income limit of Rs. 2.50 lakhs.
Reimbursement of Tuition Fee For SC/ST/OBC/Minority The student must belong to the category of SC/ST/OBC/Minority pursuing classes from 1st to 12th having an annual income of Rs. 2,00,000/-.
Financial Assistance To SC/ST/OBC/Minority The student must belong to the category of SC/ST/OBC/Minority pursuing classes from 1st to 12th having an annual income of Rs. 2,00,000/-.
Merit Scholarship To SC/ST/OBC/Minority The student must belong to the category of SC/ST/OBC/Minority pursuing classes from 1st to 12th having an annual income of Rs. 2,00,000/-.

Delhi Ladli Scheme The student must be a girl candidate pursuing studies from the Delhi recognized school having an annual income limit of Rs. 1,00,000/-.
