Objectives of Delhi Scholarship 2023
The primary objectives of launching the Delhi Scholarship Scheme are as follows:
- Financial Assistance: Provide scholarships to students from SC, ST, OBC, and Minority communities to support their studies and alleviate financial burdens.
- Empowerment: Enable economically weaker students to become self-reliant and independent through educational opportunities.
Management Body
Relevant Delhi State Universities/colleges will manage and administer the distribution of scholarship amounts to eligible students. Merit lists based on previous academic performance will be prepared by each state university/college.

The Delhi Government aims to provide financial support to students from financially backward classes who face challenges in paying admission fees.

Annual Income Limit
Applicants must fall within the specified annual family income limit, which ranges from Rs. 1,00,000/- to Rs. 2,50,000/-, depending on the beneficiary category.
Fund Allocation to Colleges
The government will allocate funds to relevant universities/colleges/institutions earmarked for scholarship disbursement. The distribution will be based on academic merit, and funds will be transferred accordingly.
